Koaro Packrafts was established in 2016 in Christchurch, New Zealand. Each and every packraft is hand and custom made.
The aim is not only to produce and develop high quality packrafts, but to make the sport of packrafting more accessible for people living in the Southern Hemisphere. After all, New Zealand is home to some of the most beautiful, untouched wildernesses in the world that needs exploring in an environmentally friendly manner.
Sam moved from Switzerland to New Zealand for the love of the outdoors. He has a background in sports equipment composite-manufacturing (raceboats, aircrafts, surf and kiteboards). He is an outdoor enthusiast and passionate about adventures both in the New Zealand backcountry and out on the sea.
Koaro Packrafts is located in Karamea, in my Garage, New Zealand.
